Website maintenance is the regular, behind-the-scenes care that keeps a site updated, secure and running smoothly. A bit like servicing your car: a little attention now and then saves a much bigger headache later.
Hi, I am Tim. If your website needs a few updates, a couple of tweaks or just someone keeping an eye on it, I can help. It is all very relaxed, and you always deal with me.

Most websites need a bit of looking after from time to time. Here is the kind of thing I sort out week in, week out.

Keeping WordPress, your theme and your plugins current, so everything stays secure and keeps playing nicely together.

Sorting out bits of code that have gone a bit wonky, or bringing older code up to date so it works with the latest versions.

New opening hours, a fresh paragraph, a changed phone number. Send it over and I will pop it in for you.

Some people like knowing their website is looked after every month. Others just need the odd job doing now and again. Both are absolutely fine by me.
Option one
A monthly maintenance plan
Hand the regular upkeep over to me and stop worrying about it. I keep things updated and ticking along, month after month.

Option two
Small one-off jobs
Got something that just needs an hour or two? A page update, a new photo or a fix for something that has stopped working. You do not need a full website rebuild to get it sorted.

Website Maintenance Questions
How quickly can you do small jobs?
Usually pretty quickly. Most small edits and fixes can be turned around within a few days, and if something is urgent, just tell me and I will do my best to fit it in sooner.
Do you work on websites you did not build?
Yes, all the time. I have a good look around first so I know how your site is put together, then crack on with the job. If I spot anything worrying along the way, I will let you know.
What if an update breaks something?
I always take a backup before making changes, so if an update does misbehave, I can roll things back and sort out the problem. Most of the time you will never know there was a hiccup.
Do you look after non-WordPress websites?
WordPress is my main area, and it is what nearly all my maintenance work is on. If your site runs on something else, get in touch and tell me what it is. I will tell you honestly if I am the right person for it, and if I am not, I will try to point you to someone who is.
What is included in the monthly plan?
The heart of it is keeping WordPress, your theme and your plugins up to date, with a backup before anything changes and a check afterwards to make sure all is well. Small edits and tweaks can be part of it too, and we can shape it around what your site actually needs.
Is there a contract?
Nope. The monthly plan is rolling monthly, with no long tie-in or contracts, and one-off jobs are exactly that: one-off.
Can I still make my own changes?
Of course, it is your website. If you like doing some edits yourself, carry on, and I will look after the trickier bits. I am also happy to show you how to do the simple stuff.
